WRWR FINALE WEEKEND 14/15/16th February
Although we did not participate as a club in the Women Riders World Relay, our members Petit Chou, Stolk and Pogs did. Our German sisters Dori G and Pheonix also rode some legs in Germany and Luxembourg so they and a couple of other Sistas from DoB Rhine-Weser, Steego and Gypsy, came over to join us for the weekend. We had a full weekend planned starting with the MCN Motorcycle Show at Edexcel on the friday. Our President, Petit Chou, picked the grrrls up from Stanstead while the rest of the club met up at Pogs’ home until the grrrls arrived for coffee and a slap up brekkie. Then PC drove to Edexcel with the rest of the club riding as escorts.
A great day out followed by a yummy meal at our favourite restaurant, Picos in Vauxhall.
Saturday was fairly quiet. We got together in Camden Lock for a few hours, where we also met up with Trui Hussein Hanoulle from Belgium
and then some grrrls went on to the WRWR event at the bike shed but the club already had plans for Saturday night so we went with Dori and Steego to the Kenric event at Doggetts pub on the Thames. Lots of chucking the body around to some great sounds.
Sunday we all met up at the Ace Cafe for a late breakfast before taking the grrrls to catch the train to Stanstead for their return to Germany.
What a great weekend and we look forward to seeing them again at Pride on the 27th June… another great weekend to come.
