DOB London – Appendix A

FUNDS

DOBL is a not for profit organisation and is constituted as an Unincorporated Association. However in order for the club to survive some income shall be required.

DOBL shall hold 2 bank accounts, 1 current account for day to day business and 1 deposit account for community funds.

The DOBL Treasurer shall keep and submit for member review at the DOBL AGM records of all income and expenditure for all accounts.

1. Membership Fees

Membership fees for the current year (2018/19) are as follows:

Supporters – no fee

Benefits:

Attendance at selected non-business open meetings and events, (some DOBL open events may require an entrance fee)

Prospects – £5 monthly/£60 per annum

Benefits:

Prospect patch

Free attendance at most DOBL meetings, events and Ride Outs

Prospects shall attend all DOBL meetings and the AGM but, shall not have a vote.

Prospects may not attend closed meetings.

Patches – £7 monthly/£72 per annum

Club colours

Free attendance at DOBL Meetings, Events and Ride Outs.

Fees, tickets and other payments for attendance at other official DOB Chapter Events, Ride Outs and meetings, visits to other DOB Chapters etc. in so far as club funds allow, may also be subsidised.

May apply for officer positions.

Able to purchase discounted Full Patch member only merchandise.

Full voting rights.

Being a part of Dykes on Bikes® legacy, established 1976.

To be involved with a non-profit that enhances the exposure of the LGBT community in a positive light.

Life Members – No Fee

Benefits:

Club colours

Free attendance at DOBL Meetings, Events and Ride Outs.

Fees, tickets and other payments for attendance at other official DOB Chapter Events, Ride Outs and meetings, visits to other DOB Chapters etc. in so far as club funds allow, may also be subsidised.

May apply for officer positions.

Able to purchase discounted Full Patch member only merchandise.

Full voting rights.

To be involved with a non-profit that enhances the exposure of the LGBT community in a positive light.

2. Commmunity Fund

At the AGM Patched members may nominate and the club shall vote upon the main charitable organisation to be in receipt of monies secured by fundraising thoughout the coming year.

Monies accrued via fundraising activities, sale of merchandise and donations are to be deposited in the club deposit account for dispersal to the club priorities and the organisatio identified as the recipients for that particular year.

The priorities for the club are as follows in order of importance:

    • Supporting the DOBL Club e.g. purchase of club colours and badges, costs of club Events; website/meetup and other administration costs

    • Purchase of merchandise as agreed

    • Advertising, media and communications to recruit new members

    • Supporting Pride events. DOBL shall negotiate with London Pride each year to support DOBL inclusion in the Pride march as a priority followed by other Pride events throughout the UK in conjunction with other DOBUK Chapters such as DOB Sussex UK

    • Supporting/attending International Pride Events

    • Supporting other DOB Chapters e.g. visits to/from other DOB Chapters, attending other DOB Chapter events

    • Supporting other Lesbian biking groups e.g. Lezbikes

    • Supporting other womens biking groups e.g. Worlds Largest Female Motorcycle meet, Dragon Riders, Helles Belles, etc.

    • Supporting LGBTQI biking groups e.g. GBMCC

    • Supporting Lesbian specific London Charities

    • Supporting LGBTQI London Charities e.g. Centred, London Friend

    • Supporting generic biking Charities e.g. NABD, Blood Bikers

    • Supporting other Charities members may be involved with e.g. TIA

DOBL disbandment.

In the event that the DOBL should become untenable or a unanimous decision by all members is made to close the club, all monies remaining in the DOBL bank accounts shall be donated to the charity that has been identified as beneficiary for that year.
